Swimming in a Fishbowl of Piranhas

Swimming in a fishbowl of piranhas

There is not a lot of poetry
in a job from 9 to 5
and this tiny rhythmic remnant
lives in fear of 8 to 7
for there's precious little living
in a life of overtime
and art's a precious morsel
for a greedy grabbing job.
